Description

Europlacer’s “Stock Management” option enables traceability for all components in storage or on the shop floor. It gives users the ability to easily locate all components and discover the remaining quantities in real time, while production is still running.

When combined with our storage systems, component management becomes a fully controlled & integrated process for a true Industry 4.0 experience.

The Stock Management station is controlled by our ii-Tab for the programming of Europlacer’s intelligent feeders. Key benefits include the ability to track the quantity on each individual reel, whether connected on the machine, feeder storage, or in stock.

Using 1D, 2D and QR codes, Stock Management eliminates set-up errors, automatically checks if projects can be completed (sufficient component quantities), quickly and easily locates components, manages quantities in real-time and much more.

The benefits combine into one cost-effective station to increase overall quality, consistency and production performance.

Capable of being integrated into ERP systems, Stock Management uses its universal interface & database to import or export data to and from alternative storage facilities or external databases.

Quantities & Location

During the production preparation it is possible to know component needs for an upcoming production through the “Pick List” application available on our ii-Tab mobile interface. For each reel, the operator can consult its remaining quantity as well as its location (machine feeders, storage towers, passive shelves) at any time.

Preparation

The selection of component reels can be done according to chosen priority criteria: started reel, favorite location, MSL etc. It is also possible to define if the selection concerns the whole production or only part of it. Once the “Pick List” is selected, the operator can get the component reels at the locations indicated on the application. It is also possible to send this list directly to the connected mobile racks.

Anticipation

During production, the CSL (Component Shortage List) application allows you to monitor the progress of the batch by indicating the remaining time and to know which components will be out of stock within a configurable time frame. At any time, it is possible to generate a new Pick List to organize a replenishment of components and thus avoid production stoppages.

Traceability

Each new reel arriving in the system is identified with a unique code (UID), generated as a label by the programming station, the storage tower or an ERP. This UID will follow the reel throughout its life cycle and will allow you to trace the component batches used for the production of each board.

Moisture Sensitivity Level

The MSL (Moisture Sensitivity Level) option allows you to ensure that the components used on the machine are not outdated. The life of the MSL reel is recorded in the database as soon as it is taken out of a humidity controlled storage area and can be reset to zero after it has been in the oven. Thus, it is impossible to program a reel if its expiration date has passed.
