Europlacer CFX certificates

The ground-breaking new ii-A1 and ii-A2 modules from Europlacer are the first placement systems from any supplier to be certified by the IPC as CFX compliant. The IPC-CFX standard, standing for Connected Factory Exchange, is the industry’s reference for data exchanges between machines communicating within an electronics production ecosystem. CFX has been fully embraced by Europlacer as part of the company’s commitment to contributing to a standardized, interconnected ecosystem for electronics production environments.

Like all current Europlacer models, the new ii-A1 and ii-A2 modules both export data in CFX format to ensure broad Industry 4.0 compatibility. These two new modules were submitted to the IPC for CFX certification, becoming the first placement systems to receive this industry accolade.

With its ‘Integrated Intelligence’ software ecosystem, Europlacer already offers fully automated data interconnectivity solutions for board manufacturers incorporated in its ii-RC Operating System and ii-Promon software applications. These resources let users generate, store and analyze production, performance, diagnostic and traceability data. Europlacer software protocols enable easy data exchange with most manufacturers’ business management software suites while CFX in particular allows Europlacer products to communicate with other CFX-enabled equipment across the facility.

“Europlacer was a founding member of the IPC select committee formed to define and develop the CFX standard,” explains Stephane Huet, Group Operations Officer. “As an active member and a driving force behind proposals that represent the functional needs of all manufacturers, we are delighted to witness the certification our ii-A1 and ii-A2 modules as tangible evidence of our commitment to the CFX standard and a boost in confidence for our customers looking to streamline their SMT assembly process.”
