Europlacer Appoints François Erceau to Drive Strategic Global Marketing

Europlacer has appointed a veteran of the electronics industry to head up the company’s marketing, business development and communications strategy worldwide. Bringing substantial expertise from leadership roles in major corporations and mid-sized companies, François Erceau joined the Europlacer Executive Management Team in December 2020 as Group Strategic Direction and Marketing Officer.

Erceau has assumed responsibility for targeting the growth of the Europlacer group and taking it to its next level, particularly in respect of international markets where the company is primed to exploit a huge potential for expansion. He will build on the momentum of global success that Europlacer is currently experiencing, notably in the US and China. The company continued to strengthen its physical presence and support infrastructure in Asia and Europe during the past year and will soon announce a new showroom and support hub in the US.

“I am delighted to be part of a group which exhibits such a unique combination of customer friendly values that stem from our not-for-profit ownership and a team of incredibly passionate and innovative stakeholders,” says Erceau. “With its strong technical portfolio in the SMT equipment industry and its long-established international reach across the five continents, I firmly believe that Europlacer is poised for faster growth,” he adds.

Erceau holds an Engineering diploma from Ecole Superieure d’Optique (Orsay – F) and an MBA from IAE Nantes. Former business roles include leadership tenures at Sercel, Thales, Trimble and Topcon as well as mid-size corporations. Now that expertise will be deployed to drive Europlacer’s global presence and growth. “I am proud to be trusted to be managing the teams looking for the next avenues of business development for the group,” Erceau concludes.
