Many Europlacer employees at our various locations spent weeks preparing for Productronica 2021 in Munich. They designed the stand and prepared all the demonstrations, in an uncertain and ever-changing health environment.

The expected number of visitors was uncertain at the outset, but like the industry as a whole, we were pleasantly surprised in the end.

It was a pleasure for us to meet with over 250 customers and prospects after this long hiatus, and to talk face-to-face with journalists and long-time contacts, as well as colleagues from the other side of the world.

The new products and features were received with great interest. This has further strengthened our position as the ‘leader in flexibility’ which ensures that our customers can run their machines continuously for optimum performance and productivity.

With the Freeform Feeder, for example, components can now be placed loose in this simple little compartment. Then the machine will easily locate, pick up and place them on the PCB automatically using vision and software.

In addition to the compact ii-A1 (flexible) and iiA2 (high speed) laying machines, the other highlight presented by Europlacer was the ii-Tab which displays all important data on a tablet. ii-Tab, via a touch screen, assists in production and preparation and then alerts the operator to bottlenecks and problems. The operation of ii-Tab benefits greatly from Europlacer’s CFX certification, which allows communication between machines and to the environment (EMS software, ERP), making our products ready for many evolutions in the years to come.
