Europlacer joins GIFAS and GEADS to strengthen its commitment to the aerospace, space and defence sector
Published: June 3, 2026
Europlacer has today announced its membership of GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales), the leading organisation representing the entire aerospace, space and defence sector in France. Through this membership, Europlacer also joins GEADS, the network bringing together the sector’s equipment manufacturers and suppliers, confirming its determination to establish itself for the long term at the heart of a strategic industrial ecosystem.
GIFAS brings together nearly 500 companies, from major contractors to SMEs and start-ups, around a common goal: to support the performance, innovation and sovereignty of a key industry. With more than 115 years of history, GIFAS structures its work around three missions: representation before French, European and international institutions; the coordination of research, innovation and standardisation efforts; and the promotion of the sector both in France and internationally. The sector it represents carries major economic weight, with more than €77 billion in revenue.
Direct access to the sector’s industrial dynamics
Within GIFAS, GEADS brings together more than 260 equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Europlacer’s membership of this network reflects a commitment to concrete engagement: taking part in the sector’s discussions, contributing to collective initiatives and strengthening industrial synergies, in direct contact with the key players shaping the value chain.
GIFAS also runs a particularly well-structured working framework, with 18 committees and more than 80 working groups, enabling member companies to exchange ideas and make progress on issues critical to the future of the sector.
Membership fully aligned with an international strategy
Membership of GIFAS is part of a decidedly international approach. GIFAS organises industrial missions abroad and relies on international networks to support the development of its members beyond national borders. This dimension represents a complementary lever for Europlacer, whose business serves manufacturers operating in global markets for more than 75% of its revenue, particularly in highly demanding sectors.
A driver of growth for Europlacer
For Europlacer, this membership represents recognition of its expertise and its positioning in industrial environments where reliability, traceability and process control are decisive. It rewards the company’s long-standing and growing presence among the sector’s players, facilitates access to a unique network of partners and decision-makers, and paves the way for active participation in collective work on innovation, industrial performance, resilience and technological sovereignty.
“Joining GIFAS is a defining step for Europlacer. This membership recognises our expertise in electronic assembly processes and our ability to support industries with high reliability requirements. It also allows us to fully integrate into the French aerospace and defence ecosystem, while strengthening our international development,” says Stéphane Huet, Site Director, Europlacer Industries.

“Our membership of GIFAS is a recognition of our uniqueness in Europe in electronic board manufacturing. Europlacer is an essential player in the electronics value chain and contributes to reindustrialisation. The expected synergies are the unique expertise we bring to the members, greater visibility, better representation and access to the various activities, particularly in R&D, industry and supply chain,” adds Christophe Rolland, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer, Europlacer Industries.
“We also expect this new collaboration to support our export development.”
Through this membership, Europlacer intends to contribute actively to the challenges of performance, innovation and technological sovereignty that are shaping the future of the aerospace, space and defence sector.
